Social events and tours during the IFATCA 2009 Conference are carefully planned to meet expectations of all participants. Dubrovnik and the surrounding area offer so many possibilities and exciting locations for your leisure time. 

Welcome and Farewell parties are more or less standard conference events which we will try to make it special and unforgetable by choosing unique locations and local food & drink specialities.

Welcome cocktail reception

Time: 19 APRIL 2009 - 1900h
Place: “Lido Bar” & pool area of the “Croatia” Hotel

All registered Conference participants are kindly invited to attend an opening social event to be held at pool-side area of the “Croatia” Hotel. Renew old and make new friendships in the relaxed mediterranean setting while enjoying fine Croatian cuisine and selected wines.


Farewell party

Time: 24 APRIL 2009 - 2000h
Place: Revelin Fortress - Dubrovnik City

Main social event of the week, settled in the representative medieval fortress, overlooking ancient Dubrovnik City Walls and Old Harbour. The perfect opportunity to relax with friends and taste the finest Croatian cuisine in the backgorunds of the most famous panorama view in Croatia. Enjoy excellent Croatian wines and live entertainment programme as the Conference draws to a close.
